You’ve heard of Neopolitan, Roman, New York, Chicago and Detroit style pizza. But California style?
California style pizza brand Burattino announced the opening of its third Texas location in Arlington.
Burattino originated in San Pedro, California, 10 years ago. According to its website, the West Coast style is a “thin and chewy crust with edge-to-edge toppings.”

The brand went viral when fans posted the thin crust pizza’s ASMR “crunch,” which turned into billions of views and millions of followers across its social media platforms.
Burattino serves pizzas baked in brick ovens. It is known for its pepperoni options, but also unique condiments and flavors like fermented black garlic or a tangy and spicy kimchi dipping sauce.
The franchise has a restaurant in North Richland Hills and another opening in November in Plano. The Arlington location will open at 6204 S. Cooper St. in an old Simple Simon’s pizzeria.

What’s on the menu at Burattino?
Burattino’s most famous pizza is its 120 pepperoni pizza, which has, well, 120 pepperoni slices that coat the pie entirely.
Commonly seen on TikTok is Burattino’s lava pie, which features four cheeses stuffed into the crust as well as melted on top for the ultimate cheese pull.

Another favorite is the pepperoni Mexicana, which features red and green chorizo, pepperoni, bacon, onion, garlic, jalapeños and a salsa sauce.
But as mentioned earlier, the brand has unique flavors like a spicy Korean pizza topped with gochujang chicken, and one with white garlic sauce topped with clams and bacon.
Besides pizza, Burattino serves calzones, wings, baked sandwiches and some salads.
Customers can order online ahead of time through the Burattino website or Door Dash for delivery or pickup.
