Lunch plans in Plano are about to get a little more interesting. Uchiko Plano is introducing lunch service Nov. 6, becoming the first restaurant in Hai Hospitality’s Dallas-Fort Worth Uchi family, which includes Uchi and Uchibā Dallas, to offer a midday menu.

The restaurant at Legacy West will serve lunch Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with options ranging from a $25 prix fixe menu to a $45 sushi omakase.

A $25 Lunch And $45 Sushi Experience

For diners looking to sample several dishes, Uchiko’s new $25 prix fixe lunch includes a starter, main course and seasonal sorbet. Starters include Brussels sprouts, sunomono, hama chili and grilled romaine. Main course options range from karaage and salmon to a burger and vegetable tom kha.

Sushi enthusiasts can opt for the $45 omakase, featuring sunomono, temaki, hama chili, two pieces of chef’s choice nigiri and three pieces of chef’s choice sashimi. Guests can also add a tart or cheesecake to either lunch special for an additional $5.

Beyond the set menus, Uchiko is introducing an à la carte lunch selection that blends Japanese-inspired dishes with familiar midday favorites.

Highlights include a chicken sando ($22) featuring charred onion aioli, American cheese and beef fat fries. Seafood lovers can try the chirashi bowl ($38) with Denver steak and tallow fries, as well as salmon ($25) served with kosho beurre blanc, turnip and frisée.

The lunch menu also features Uchiko favorites, including hama chili, hot rock with Westholme wagyu and an assortment of nigiri and sashimi. Cocktails, sake, wine, beer and zero-proof beverages round out the offerings.

A New Chapter For Uchiko Plano

Uchiko Plano opened at Legacy West in 2024, bringing the Japanese restaurant concept from James Beard Award-winning chef Tyson Cole to the city. Known for its combination of sushi, smoke and live-fire cooking, Uchiko is now expanding its dining experience beyond dinner with its first lunch offering in North Texas.

Lunch service begins on Nov. 6, and will continue every Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Uchiko Plano is located at 7801 Windrose Ave., Suite H150, Plano.
