Reyes, a Garland resident, was shot and killed in a parking lot in the 1600 block of East Belt Line Road in Richardson, according to authorities.

“The Richardson Police Department recognizes the lasting pain and heartache an unsolved homicide brings to a family,” the police statement reads. “As we continue working toward justice for Eric, we are sharing a reminder from his loved ones.”

According to the Richardson police, witnesses reported after the shooting that Reyes had been involved in an altercation when the shooting occurred. Two suspects fled in a white Dodge Charger, possibly a 2006–2009 model, according to police. No license plate information was available on the vehicle.

Neither suspect has been arrested in the shooting. A description of the shooter offered by Richardson PD includes the following details: Hispanic male, approximately 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10 inches tall, heavy build, short fade-style haircut, seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jeans. A second suspect said to be a driver is described as a Hispanic between 25 and 30 years old with a thin build.

Richardson police encourage any possible help from the public, saying “even a detail that may seem small or insignificant could make a difference.”
