ARLINGTON, TX – The UT Arlington volleyball team returns to College Park Center on Saturday Oct. 24, welcoming North Alabama for a 1 p.m. CT conference matchup. The Mavericks look to build on Tuesday’s 3-1 victory over Tarleton State and continue strong UAC play while defending their home court.

Saturday’s match also marks UTA Volleyball’s annual Alumni Day, with program alumni set to be recognized during the honorary first serve.

LAST GAME RECAP

UTA 3, Tarleton State 1

UTA earned a key UAC victory over Tarleton State on Tuesday night, winning 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-15, 25-21) at College Park Center. The Mavericks opened the match with an 8-0 scoring run to claim the first set before responding with dominant performances in the third and fourth frames to secure the win. Evyn Snook led UTA with 19 kills, while Karisa Martin added 11 kills. Lucy Tricco dished out a match-high 44 assists. Samantha Glenn led the defensive effort with 20 digs. Dixie Nessl recorded four blocks and a season-high of seven kills. Eliana Collins stood out in the match as well, achieving a career/season-high of eight kills including the game-winning kill.

 

GAME NOTES


UTA leads the United Athletic Conference in three statistical categories: team total attacks (3,011), team total blocks (178.0), team assists (976).
Evyn Snook leads the UAC in total attacks (813) and attacks per set (9.91). Snook is second in the conference in kills per set (3.32), points (302.5) and total kills (272).
Samantha Glenn ranks second in the conference in total digs with 387 and is also the UAC’s Defensive Player of the Week (10.19).
Sophomore Camryn McMinn is 43 points away from 500 career points and 89 kills away from 500 career kills
