The Dallas Stars made a pair of roster moves with two injured players Saturday.
Meanwhile, Lindell heads to IR with a lower-body injury. He’s been out since exiting Dallas’ game at Chicago last Saturday after blocking a shot and Gulutzan said Lindell would “be out here for a bit.” He went on to say Dallas would be without the defenseman for a week and then day-to-day after that.
To qualify for LTIR, a player has to miss a minimum of 10 games and 24 calendar days. For IR, a player must be out a minimum of seven days and a move to IR frees up a roster spot for the team.
The Stars have successfully navigated their recent rash of injuries so far, as Dallas is riding a four-game winning streak. That winning streak will be on the line Sunday evening at American Airlines Center when Dallas hosts the New York Islanders.
