Despite all the outside noise and benching speculation, Arch Manning and the Texas Longhorns overcame the noise, defeating Ole Miss 34 to 27.

The game started at a breakneck pace, with both teams getting on the scoreboard until Texas pulled away to a 24-3 lead at halftime.

However, Ole Miss wouldn’t completely go out without a fight, scoring 21 unanswered points to tie the ballgame early in the fourth quarter.

Though the Rebels would keep it close until the end, the Texas defense held strong, letting the offense go to work, sealing the game with a one-yard Manning rush touchdown.

Arch Manning ended the game with a solid stat line of 212 passing yards, 33 rushing yards, and three touchdowns.

Next up? Texas hopes to keep their winning ways going next Saturday against Mississippi State, and Ole Miss will look to bounce back when they take on Auburn.
