Tech (11-1-4, 7-1-1 Big 12) was powered by a first half goal from defender Kylie Bahr who scored her fourth goal of the season and second in as many games in the 36th minute. Taylor Zdrojewski made it 2-0 in the 56th minute with her league-leading 12th tally as Kaitlyn Giametta capped off the scoring over Utah (4-8-5, 1-5-3 Big 12) in the 84th minute off a throw in assist by Raleigh Greason.

Mattie Neves provided the first real opportunity for Tech in the seventh minute as she settled in a cross from her right, putting her right boot on a shot that was saved at the near left post. In the 22nd minute, Eleanor Hays rifled a free kick shot that just missed wide of the far-right post. Using this momentum, Kylie Bahr received a pass from Alana Harry just past midfield, beating her only defender for the score as she tucked it away over the keeper’s left shoulder.

Coming out of the break with a 1-0 lead, Taylor Zdrojewski registered her 38th career goal in the 56th minute, putting her third all-time on Tech’s list. Millie Elwood tracked one along the right side of the pitch from beyond midfield where Zdrojewski then won her 1v1 battle into the 18-yard box for the flick of keeper’s right glove that just caught a deflection.

Giametta registered her fifth goal of the year thanks to a handspring throw in from Greason. Waiting inside the PK area, Giametta looked on as Greason launched one in the air, where she then headed it just over the goal line.

Addie Todd, to no one’s surprise, played each minute in goal finishing with two saves. The Tech defense only allowed two shots throughout the contest. Tech won the corner kick battle 3-2.
