North Texans planning to trick-or-treat this Halloween should keep an eye on the forecast.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible across Dallas-Fort Worth during that period, potentially bringing rainy weather to Halloween festivities.
“Isolated showers may linger through Saturday night, which may impact Halloween plans,” the weather service said in its Monday morning forecast.
Halloween night will likely also feature cloudy skies and breezy winds, with gusts up to 17 mph.
North Texas has an 80% chance of rain Friday, followed by a 50% chance Saturday, according to the weather service.
However, the forecast remains somewhat uncertain this far out, meaning the exact timeline could shift as Halloween nears.
Temperatures throughout the work week are forecast to reach the low-80s, but North Texans could see highs dip into the 70s later in the week as storms develop.
