Post-lunch hour traffic turned into a nightmare for drivers on the Northeast Side of San Antonio on Wednesday, November 12, after a major crash shut down multiple lanes on I-35 northbound near Schwab Road. The collision backed up traffic for several exits, leaving commuters crawling through the afternoon rush and facing delays of up to 10 minutes.

The crash was reported around 1:24 p.m. on I-35 before the Schwab Road exit, according to TxDOT. Two left lanes and the left shoulder are blocked, causing a significant slowdown stretching back to FM 3009 and Natural Bridge Caverns Road, both exits located between Selma and New Braunfels on the Northeast Side of San Antonio.
