For the second time this season, the Cowboys have waived running back Emari Demercado.

Demercado logged 15 yards on five carries in his two appearances for the Cowboys.

The pair of moves aren’t necessarily notable due to the significance of the players waived, but are more notable due to the potential moves that could follow.

Demercado’s release opens up a roster spot on the 53-man for the Cowboys, meaning Liufau or Locke may return this week against the Cardinals. However, it’s not yet clear what Dallas’ plan is, as no accompanying moves were announced Tuesday.
