NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A Texas DPS Trooper has been arrested and charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
According to Comal County records, 36-year-old Fernando Daniel Gomez, who has served with the Texas Department of Public Safety since 2015, was arrested during a traffic stop on Aug. 30 in New Braunfels.
He was later released on a $3,500 bond from the Comal County Jail. Gomez remains in active service with the Texas Department of Public Safety.
After serving as a telecommunications operator for a year, Gomez entered service with Texas DPS as a peace officer in 2016.
