Lubbock businesswoman’s product featured on ‘Today’ show

  • October 30, 2026

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock businesswoman and her outdoor wear product were recently featured on national television during Women’s Small Business Month.

Kristi Frazier, creator of the Ultimate Stadium Sak, was highlighted on the “Today” show after being selected from thousands of nominations.

Frazier, who works at KK’s Corner Mall in Lubbock—a business owned by her mother—said the idea for the product came to her about seven years ago during a football game.

“I was watching my son play football, and I reached down to adjust my blanket, and I missed his touchdown,” Frazier said. “And at that moment, I thought, there has to be another way. There has to be another way to stay warm.”

From concept to national spotlight

Frazier researched existing products, brought an initial item to market, then modified the design by adding sleeves. The product is now patented and trademarked.

“I think the easiest way is just to unzip and step in it,” Frazier said while demonstrating the product. “And then I step on the bottom and pull it up and it’s warm. You’ve got your pockets.”

While the sack is sold locally at KK’s Corner Mall, Frazier said the majority of sales come online, shipping to customers across the United States and Canada.

“This one lady, she’s like, if it hadn’t been for your sack, I couldn’t have gone to my kids’, my grandkids’ games,” Frazier said. “She can’t sit out in the weather. And she said, I got your sack and now I can go.”

A full circle moment

The national appearance marked a return to the morning program for Frazier and her family. In 2019, Frazier stood outside the studio wearing the product with her husband and children, attempting to share samples with the anchors.

“I brought a lot to give to the anchors,” Frazier said. “Well, I didn’t get to give it to them, so I gave it to the producers. I don’t think I ever made it to them. And so, like, this was a full circle moment for it to actually be featured on the Today Show.”

During the recent broadcast, co-host Jenna Bush Hager also wore the wearable blanket on air later in the morning.

“Just like anybody else, you have self-doubt. You know, like, can I really do this?” Frazier said. “And it’s been fun to see it grow more and more every year. And then The Today Show was kind of the icing on the cake, honestly.”
