Houston – Looking for a Halloween-season outing with a little drama and a lot of laughs? Drunk Dracula is back in Houston for its third season at The Emerald Theatre.
Presented by the Drunk Shakespeare Society, the show puts a comedic twist on the classic vampire story. Each performance features one actor taking five shots of liquor before attempting to lead the cast through the tale of Transylvania’s most famous vampire. The rest of the ensemble has to roll with the unexpected twists, making every show a little different.
Houston Life welcomed cast members Anastasia Zavitsanos and Brennan Ashley to share what audiences can expect, including plenty of improv and audience participation.
They also gave our hosts a lesson in the art of the dramatic stage death, complete with a vampire stake and some over-the-top theatrics. The audience even gets a say in who delivers the most memorable performance! SPOILER: It was Derrick!
Drunk Dracula runs at The Emerald Theatre through Nov. 7. and the show is for guests 21 and older.
