EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — Two separate vehicle-theft reports in El Paso unraveled after investigators recovered the vehicles, and police said the men who reported them later admitted the claims were false.

The El Paso Police Department said Jesus Armando Morales, 64, and Diego Ibrahim Vaquera, 23, were arrested and each faces a charge of making a false report or statement to an officer.

Police said both men reported vehicles stolen but later acknowledged they were not telling the truth.
