A soft opening is planned for November, followed by a grand opening celebration in December

If your ideal afternoon involves cute cats, Plano has something new to look forward to. Kitty Corner, a cat-themed lounge, is planning to open before the end of the year at 915 W. Parker Road, Suite 315.

The concept promises a mix of feline friends, shopping and entertainment, with adoptable cats among the main attractions.

According to the business’s Instagram, visitors can look forward to photo booths, special events, claw machines and plenty of cat-themed merchandise. Think plushies, keychains, enamel pins, blind boxes and other collectibles that might make it difficult to leave empty-handed.

An opening date has not been announced, but Kitty Corner plans to hold a soft opening in November, followed by a grand opening celebration in December.

Meet The Cats Behind Kitty Corner

Every good cat business needs a few feline celebrities, and Kitty Corner already has two. The business introduced its mascots, Midnight and Toshi, in an Instagram post. Both are shelter cats whose stories helped inspire the creation of the lounge.

While Midnight and Toshi are taken, adoptable cats will give visitors a chance to spend time around felines and potentially meet a future furry family member. It’s also fun concept for cat lovers who aren’t quite ready to adopt.

Beyond the cats themselves, the lounge plans to offer plenty of ways to make a visit entertaining. Guests can browse the merchandise, try their luck at the claw machines, snap photos and attend special events.

Kitty Corner has not yet announced admission prices, operating hours or additional details about its adoption process.

Plano Already Has A Cafe For Dog Lovers, Too

Cat people won’t be the only ones with a dedicated hangout in Plano. The city is also home to CuppaPug, where visitors can trade the usual coffee-shop atmosphere for an hour surrounded by snorting, squishy pugs.

Located at 8100 Stonebrook Parkway, CuppaPug opened in September 2025 and offers hourly sessions with approximately 20 guests per group. Visitors get time to interact with the cafe’s resident and rescue pugs, with opportunities for cuddles, playtime and even training sessions.

Guests can purchase treats, watch the dogs show off their tricks or simply spend an hour enjoying the company of the cafe’s four-legged residents.

Between CuppaPug and the upcoming Kitty Corner, Plano is making a pretty convincing case for adding a little animal time to your weekend plans.
