ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
The United States Marshals Service, Southwest Investigative Fugitive Taskforce was able to locate and apprehend a wanted man in El Paso.
George Gilbert Marez, 25, wanted out of Texas for offenses of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
On October 29, 2026, the Southwest Investigative Fugitive Taskforce was able to locate and apprehend Marez, near the intersection of Wyoming Blvd NE, and Candelaria Rd. in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Following his arrest, Marez was booked into the Bernalillo County Metropolitan Detention Center, where he awaits extradition back to Texas.
