The pastor of an Arlington church has been accused of sexual assault for a second time.

A woman filed a lawsuit this week in Dallas County district court against Ronnie Goines, the pastor of Koinonia Christian Church in Arlington. The lawsuit alleges that Goines assaulted her twice, once at his house in Mansfield in August and again at her home in Dallas County in September.

The lawsuit alleges that Goines told the woman that their interactions were part of “God’s plan” and that God was guiding the woman to him.

Their relationship began when the woman met Goines at a restaurant in Dallas, where Goines introduced himself as the pastor of Koinonia Christian Church, the lawsuit said. The woman told him she was not interested in a romantic relationship, and only wanted to work on her business goals and friendship, according to the suit.

Koinonia Christian Church is also named as a defendant in the suit, which alleges that the church allowed the sexual assault to occur and failed to intervene and remove Goines from his position.

Goines addressed the congregation of Koinonia in a video posted to Facebook on Friday, and said that he did not sexually assault anyone and that the woman lied.

Goines said that the woman had never been a member of the church, and he never counseled her. He then played a video of a woman’s voice, who he said was the woman accusing him of sexual assault, in a voicemail message saying “my love.”

In 2024, Goines was accused of sexual assault by another woman in Tarrant County, but the criminal charges were dismissed after a grand jury declined to indict him. A civil suit was filed in that case, and attorneys are currently finalizing a settlement, according to Tarrant County court records.

“I have never in my life done what this woman is accusing me of, to her or to anyone,” Goines told his church congregation.

Attorneys for the woman, nor Goines immediately responded to a request for comment.
