Now receiving guests for a supreme wellness experience, Canyon Ranch Austin delivers Hill Country beauty, elevated well-being programs — and inspired food and drink like this fall-friendly Vanilla Pumpkin Smoothie.

What do you find at the intersection of travel, hospitality, well-being, care, and culture? The glorious new Canyon Ranch, from the legendary name in wellness destination resorts.

And where on the map is that intersection? In Spicewood, Texas, in the picturesque Hill Country landscape just outside of Austin on the shores of serene Lake Travis.

“People today are seeking something fundamentally different from their travels and getaways — life-changing experiences, connection, health, wisdom, and joy. Time at Canyon Ranch answers the call, with stays inspired to help our guests live younger longer, pursue happiness, reconnect, or relax and feed body, mind, and spirit,” says Canyon Ranch CEO Mark Rivers.

Roots of Canyon Ranch are planted firmly in the ethos of its founding in 1979. This latest location, which celebrates its grand opening October 29, joins three other storied properties in a renowned portfolio that also includes Tucson, Arizona; Lenox, Massachusetts; and Woodside, California. Canyon Ranch Austin adds modern authority with a sophisticated resort on 600-plus acres of sweeping and rolling ranchland overlooking Lake Travis.

High Design

Designed by award-winning Texas architecture firm Lake Flato, Canyon Ranch Austin blends the natural serenity of a Hill Country lakeside setting with elevated vernacular architecture and a robust and relaxing program into one seamless wellness experience.

Recipe

Canyon Ranch’s Vanilla Pumpkin Smoothie

Ingredients:

1¼ cups low-fat milk
½ cup pure pumpkin purée
1 tablespoon almond butter
¾ scoop vanilla protein powder
¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
⅛ teaspoon ground cinnamon or pumpkin pie spice

Instructions

Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. A handful of ice can be added if desired.

Note: Choose a protein powder with no added sugar that provides about 20g of protein per scoop. Ultra-filtered milk can be used in place of traditional milk to increase the protein content of this smoothie. Non-dairy milk could also be used in place of cow’s milk, but it could lower the protein content of this smoothie.
