A man in Lubbock, Texas, was recently shot in the head after an argument escalated between him and another in East Lubbock. He miraculously survived the attack, and police were able to track down the shooter.
Shooting in East Lubbock
According to the Lubbock Police Department (LPD) news release, officers responded to a call at the 100 block of North Zenith Avenue on November 11 around 11am in the afternoon.
When cops arrived, they discovered 41-year-old Christopher Manahan suffering a bullet wound to the head. He was stable, however, and medical personnel transported him to Covenant Medical Center to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed that Manahan and 38-year-old Jeffrey Porter began fighting at Porter’s residence on Idalou Road when Manahan attempted to get into his truck and leave the situation. This was when Porter allegedly grabbed his gun and shot Manahan in the head before he could leave.
Porter fled the scene, but Manahan, surviving the attack, drove to a relative’s house on North Zenith Avenue where a 9-1-1 call was immediately made.
The Arrest of Lubbock Shooting Suspect
Police eventually located Porter and arrested him in Midland on Tuesday afternoon without incident.

He was sent to the Midland County Jail where he is facing multiple charges, such as Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, LPD’s new release states.
Jeffrey Porter is also charged with three counts of driving with an invalid or suspended license and one count of failure to appear in court out of Midland County.
The investigation into Manahan’s attack is still ongoing by LPD’s Major Crimes Unit.
