LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A Lubbock grand jury has formally charged one of the men listed as “the worst of the worst” by Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Erick Cruz-Lazo, 20, was indicted on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was arrested at a hotel in west Lubbock in August after police said he threatened two co-workers with a circular saw and broke windows out of their cars.
ICE reports Cruz-Lazo is an El Salvador native who entered the country illegally. He remains in the Lubbock County Detention Center on a federal hold.
