Dallas-Fort Worth toll road users can expect closures, detours and possible traffic disruptions on multiple roadways this weekend due to planned construction activity and maintenance work.

The following is what you should be on the lookout for:

Dallas North Tollway

The ramp connecting southbound Dallas North Tollway to southbound Interstate 35E in Dallas, near Oak Lawn, will be closed for resurfacing and repair work, according to a traffic advisory from North Texas Tollway Authority.

Continuous closures will occur starting Friday at 10 p.m. through 5 a.m. Monday.

Additional closures are planned in the Celina and Prosper areas this weekend for construction work that’s part of the Dallas North Tollway Phase 4A project.

All lanes of east- and westbound Prosper Trail, between north- and southbound Dallas Parkway, will be closed overnight Friday from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. The closures are needed for deck work.

President George Bush Turnpike

Continuous closures are planned for President George Bush Turnpike in Plano, near Richardson, for routine maintenance, according to the NTTA traffic advisory.

The ramp connecting westbound PGBT to southbound U.S. 75 will be closed starting at 10 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday.

Sam Rayburn Tollway

Continuous closures are also underway on Sam Rayburn Tollway in Plano, near Lewisville and The Colony, for pavement repair, according to NTTA.

Expect closures at the following locations to continue through Friday, Nov. 21 at 3 p.m.:

The eastbound SRT S. Colony Blvd. entrance ramp. The right lane going east from Josey Lane to Plano Pkwy./Paige Road. Chisholm Trail Parkway

For drivers in the Fort Worth area, continuous closures are underway on Chisholm Trail Parkway for a widening project on the roadway. The closures this weekend are specifically for reconstruction of the southbound County Road (CR) 920 exit ramp, the NTTA advisory said.

The closures for work on CR 920 exit ramp began late last month and will continue through this weekend before wrapping up Monday.

Additional closures will take place on Chisholm Trail Parkway, in the Cleburne and Burleson areas, as part of the widening project beginning Sunday and into next week. The closures are needed to set traffic barriers at the following locations:

Southbound CTP from CR 904 to Sparks Drive. Closures planned nightly Sunday through Thursday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.Southbound CTP from CR 913 to FM 917. Overnight closures scheduled Thursday and Friday from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

NTTA will place message boards near the construction sites to alert drivers of all the closures. Detours will be available.

The NTTA advisory said all closures this weekend are subject to weather conditions and could potentially be postponed, if necessary. Drivers are asked to use caution in any construction areas.
