AUSTIN (KXAN) — The Texas Center is rolling out “E Pluribus Texas,” an ambitious and sprawling documentary series that was produced over multiple years with nearly 250 episodes spanning over 20 hours.

The series was produced by The Texas Center at Schreiner University. The project features a vast array of resources ranging from interviews with Texas history experts, archival footage and on-location segments. In a statement on their website, Dr. Don Frazier, narrator of the series, said the series was “more than just history.”

“It’s about understanding how many different threads, languages, and traditions came together to create something uniquely Texan. From the borderlands to the big cities, from cattle trails to space travel, this series shows the remarkable range of Texas stories.”

The series covers a wide range of topics sprawling over several eras of Texas’ storied history, some of which include the Mexican National Period, Texas’ role in the Civil War and reconstruction, and the Great Depression.

Filmed across the state, the series is available now on The Texas Center’s YouTube and will be available on their website later this fall.
