LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – 2Q: Texas Tech begins the second quarter by handing it off to WR Reggie Virgil for his first touchdown of the game, giving Texas Tech a 21-0 lead.
A holding call in the end zone on the Red Raiders gives UCF its first point of the game with a safety. Texas Tech continues to dominate, 21-2, with 10 minutes until halftime.
Texas Tech responded with a 30-yard touchdown once again on a run by Reggie Virgil, making things, 28-2, with 4:42 left in the first half.
A Jacob Rodriguez (as usual) makes a play and picks off the Knights’ pass, setting up a one-minute touchdown drive for Texas Tech. Virgil, again, finds the end zone but this time on a pass from Behren Morton.
With one minute left in the half, Mitch Griffis took over at QB for Morton. After an overturned touchdown and penalty, Texas Tech notched a field goal going into the locker room.
It’s all Texas Tech, 38-2, at the half.

As of right now, Texas Tech could host a first-round playoff game. The next College Football Playoff rankings come out on Tuesday.
With some help, the Red Raiders could move up depending on if they take care of the Knights.
