RICHLAND HILLS – Clifford Pope was born in Spur, Texas, on May 25, 1930, and passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the age of 95, surrounded by the love of his family. Funeral: 12 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, November 16, 2025, in the Breyley Suite at Mount Olivet. Born to Alfred and Alta Pope, both of whom preceded him in death, Clifford grew up in a close-knit home that shaped his deep sense of loyalty, responsibility, and faith. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Troy Pope. Clifford was a devoted husband and father whose greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Freda, four children, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Over the years, he took immense pride in watching his family grow, celebrating each new life and milestone with quiet happiness and gratitude. Those who knew Clifford will remember that he could be rigid and a bit abrasive at times, but his commitment and steadfast love for his family were undeniable, often revealed in the joy on his face whenever he spoke about them. The family takes comfort in knowing that Clifford is reunited with his parents and brother, and they are grateful for the many years they were blessed to share with him.
