A pair of SEC teams took a major hit in the latest US LBM Coaches Poll after suffering critical losses in conference play.

The Texas Longhorns and Alabama Crimson Tide suffered the biggest drop in the latest coaches poll after losses to Georgia and Oklahoma, respectively. Alabama dropped six spots from No. 4 to No. 10 while Texas fell eight spots to No. 18.

This week’s coaches poll features nine SEC teams. Texas A&M leads the way at No. 3 after its spectacular comeback to beat South Carolina on Saturday. Georgia moves one spot to No. 4 after beating Texas, Ole Miss follows at No. 6, with Oklahoma shortly behind at No. 8. Alabama rounds out the top 10. Vanderbilt (No. 13), Texas (No. 18), Tennessee (No. 20), and Missouri (No. 21) round out the SEC’s representation.
