Outside of the Super Bowl, the NFL‘s Thanksgiving stage is as close as the regular season gets to the big game.
Gathering at the TV to watch some football after enjoying holiday Turkey with friends, family and loved ones has become one of America’s most beloved traditions — and the Dallas Cowboys have always been at the center of that.

The AT&T Stadium stage has seen many musical icons perform, from the legendary Dolly Parton, to Randy Travis and even Destiny’s Child. And now the Cowboys are set to have another one of music’s biggest names handle the halftime festivities at this year’s game: Mr. Post Malone.

Post Malone announced as Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day performer
On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys announced that the former hip-hop auto-crooner turned country music sensation would ring in the Red Kettle Kickoff for Nov. 27’s game vs. the Kansas City Chiefs on CBS.

As a Grapevine, TX native, Posty has been a fan of the franchise for most of his life. So it makes sense for the two sides to have this crossover. Post’s father also reportedly managed concessions for the team in the early 2000s so the connection runs pretty deep between Dallas and the “F-1 Trillion” singer.

“Probably will be the biggest Thanksgiving game ever and that’s not hyperbole,” a user said.

Post Malone has certainly come a long way from his viral 2015 smash “White Iverson,” going onto become one of the biggest names in popular music with wide crossover people before making his full transition to bro country last year.

It’s sure to be a pretty neat full-circle moment for Posty, who will be cheering on his Cowboys to what he hopes will be a huge Thanksgiving Day win over the three-time defending AFC champs less than two weeks from now.
