Thanksgiving Collection Schedule
HOUSTON — The City of Houston’s Solid Waste Management Department (SWMD) announces the collection schedule for the Thanksgiving holiday. In observance of Thanksgiving Day, all SWMD collection services will be suspended, and all facilities and offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27.
Thursday, November 27, 2025 (Thanksgiving Day)
City Holiday: No collection services. All facilities, including Neighborhood Depositories, Recycling Centers, and administrative offices, will be closed.
Friday, November 28, 2025
Thursday’s garbage, recycling, and heavy trash along with yard waste will be serviced.
All facilities, including Neighborhood Depositories, Recycling Centers, and administrative offices, will remain closed.
Saturday, November 29, 2025
Friday’s garbage, recycling, and heavy trash along with yard waste will be serviced.
All facilities, including Neighborhood Depositories and Recycling Centers, will reopen.
