Almost no rain has been recorded so far in Dallas-Fort Worth for November, but that looks like it’s about to change.

Rain is expected to move into North Texas Wednesday evening, starting with the western side of the region, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

More widespread showers and storms are expected to develop in the late evening and overnight, with a 50% to 70% chance of precipitation for most of the region.

Rain is expected to continue for much of Thursday. The weather service is expecting rain to continue from Wednesday into Thursday morning, with another round of storms moving in Thursday afternoon or evening. While a few storms may become severe, the weather service said the overall threat is low.

In total, most areas are expected to receive 1 to 2 inches of precipitation from these storms. Some areas may also experience isolated flooding if they receive heavy rains both nights.

Rain chances are expected to fall early Friday morning as the storms exit the region.

The temperature should also fall with the rain, dropping from the record-breaking upper 80s at the start of the week to 74 degrees Thursday and 66 degrees by Saturday.
