Police say they responded to the crash at the intersection of Pioneer Parkway and Cooper Street early Sunday.

ARLINGTON, Texas —

Arlington police say they’re investigating a deadly crash that happened Sunday just after 3:30 a.m.

Police say the driver of a 2012 Ford Explorer was traveling north on Cooper Street when it was hit by the driver of a 2008 Honda Civic who’d allegedly ran a red light while heading west on Pioneer Parkway.

The driver of the Civic was rushed to an area hospital where he later died from his injuries, officials say. The driver of the Explorer and two passengers were also taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, according to a press release.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, but police say they have not ruled out speed or intoxication as contributing factors.

The name of the man killed has not yet been released.Â
