Two special performances at the Eisemann Center honor four decades of North Texas’ most beloved holiday tradition
For 40 years, Tuzer Ballet’s Nutcracker has been a cornerstone of North Texas holiday magic. It is a joyful and shimmering tradition families return to year after year. This December, the celebrated production returns to the Charles W. Eisemann Center with two special anniversary matinees on December 20 and 21. The milestone season promises nostalgia, artistry and a few delightful surprises.
A Dallas-Fort Worth Holiday Classic Turns 40
Since 1984, Tuzer Ballet has enchanted audiences with its dazzling interpretation of The Nutcracker. The production features swirling snowflakes, the grandeur of the Land of Sweets, the elegance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and the unforgettable presence of the Rat Queen. Its lasting appeal is rooted in the Tuzer legacy itself.
The production began as the vision of the late Tanju Tuzer, whose artistry and passion inspired thousands of young dancers. His wife, Pat Tuzer, continues that legacy with heart, intention and a deep commitment to community.
More than 100 dancers and actors, from the youngest students to seasoned professionals, will take the stage this year and fill the Eisemann Center with the energy, precision and warmth audiences have cherished for decades.

A Tradition Rooted in Community
Tuzer Ballet’s impact reaches far beyond the stage. Through its long-standing outreach ticket program, veterans, firefighters, Girl Scouts and community members who might not otherwise be able to attend are invited to share in the magic.
Every detail of the production reflects that devotion:
• Custom costumes crafted by local seamstresses
• Professional sets and lighting that transport the audience
• A welcoming performance environment for families across North Texas
“They always said ballet is more than dancing. It is about life, dignity and noble souls,” Pat Tuzer shares, honoring the philosophy that shaped the company. This 40th anniversary season continues to embody that spirit.
