NBC 5 and Telemundo 39 are supporting our veterans and their military spouses looking for gainful employment. RecruitMilitary is an organization that aims to bridge the gap between military and civilian employment, and they are holding a hiring event in Arlington on Thursday, November 20.
Transitioning from military duty into civilian work life is often difficult for veterans and service members. For over 30 years, RecruitMilitary has worked to streamline the job-search process by holding job fairs, offering recruitment and placement services, networking and mentoring, and education services. Resources include resume building, live resume webinars, job fair event preparation, and resources for military spouses.
When you create your account online with RecruitMilitary, you can fill out your personal information, military background, and any relevant skills or experience. Once you complete your profile, you can search their database for jobs, connect with recruiters, and attend job fairs.
RecruitMilitary works with various partners that allow them to help offer training and certification, mentorship, and employment assistance. RecruitMilitary also works with the Department of Defense to have a presence on numerous military bases.
