ARLINGTON, TX – UT Arlington’s Mira Ledermueller was named the Western Athletic Conference Setter of the Week her stellar contribution to the Mavericks’ weekend in the Beehive State. This marks the fifth time this season the junior transfer has earned this weekly honor. The honor caps off regular season play as the Mavericks prepare for the upcoming WAC Tournament.
 
“Mira getting this honor is well deserved,” said Schatow. “She is someone that is always asking for extra reps and wants to improve daily. Congrats again to her and her dedication.”
 
The Endorf, Germany native continued consistent play during the final week of regular-season action, posting 45 assists and three service aces in Thursday night’s match at Southern Utah. She followed that with another strong outing on Saturday at Utah Tech, recording 27 assists and a team-high of nine digs.
 
Ledermueller enters the conference tournament leading the WAC in assists per set (9.05), total assists (896) and service aces (38).

NEXT UP

The Mavericks head to Abilene to face host and No. 4 seed Abilene Christian in the opening round of the WAC Volleyball Championship on Thursday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. CT. The winner will advance to meet top-seeded Utah Valley on Friday, Nov. 21 at 7 p.m. in the tournament semifinals.
