Tormenta Rampaging Run will surely get butts in seats, and Tuesday morning, Six Flags revealed those seats.
The new dive coaster is coming to Arlington’s Six Flags Over Texas for the park’s 65th birthday, and construction is well underway. It breaks several records, according to the company, including:

The coaster features an eight-across seat design that lets families sit together, supported by an extra-wide track, characteristic of dive coasters. The seats let your feet dangle, allowing passengers to feel the coaster’s 285-foot, 95-degree drop to the fullest effect.
Fort Worth company H3 Construction is building the ride using mostly local workers, with Swiss company Bolliger & Mabillard providing engineering and design.

The coaster’s tracks and supports are already beginning to climb into the Arlington skyline, part of the park’s Spain area and themed after the country’s Running of the Bulls.
While Six Flags has not revealed the cost of the coaster, it said in September that it is the “largest single investment” ever made in the history of Six Flags over Texas.
The coaster is coming in the wake of a merger between Six Flags and fellow theme park company Cedar Fair. Soon after the merger last year, Six Flags announced an ambitious $1 billion spending plan, with Texas parks as heavy beneficiaries.
Besides Tormenta, Six Flags Over Texas has undergone several renovations and additional theming, and will add a new restaurant, Cocina Abuela, to the Spain area, also in 2026.
