Robstown Chief Mike Tamez told 3NEWS that he is on the scene of a shooting. DPS Sgt. Rob Mallory has confirmed troopers are helping search for the shooter.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Robstown police are investigating a murder reported Monday in front of Fig Square Apartments according to officials. Robstown Police Chief Mike Tamez told 3NEWS he is on the scene.

Tamez said one male was found deceased at the scene. 

The Texas Department of Public Safety is assisting in the search for the shooter, DPS Sgt. Rob Mallory confirmed.

No additional details, including information about injuries, a suspect description or whether the school was affected, were immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
