It’s time to bring the rain jackets back out.

Storms are forecast to move into North Texas in the late afternoon, around 5 p.m. at DFW International Airport, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office. There is a possibility of isolated instances of large hail and heavy rainfall.

The rain is expected to continue all day Thursday. Most areas are expected to get 1 to 2 inches of rain. Isolated flooding is possible in areas with heavier downpours, the weather service said.

Rain chances are expected to start falling early Friday morning, with mostly clear skies by midmorning.

Before the rain moves in Wednesday, temperatures should still be toasty with a high of 82 degrees. It’s slightly milder than the 87-degree high that was recorded Tuesday, breaking the record for the hottest Nov. 18.

During the rain, the high should drop down to the mid-70s. It’s expected to slowly keep dropping to the upper-60s over the weekend, potentially accelerated by another band of rain chances that could move in Saturday night.
