This week, Texas Tech officers reported a string of bicycle and scooter thefts around residence halls, multiple liquor-law violations in Hulen and Murdough, and several arrests. Incidents included an animal-cruelty arrest in the C-4 lot, drug arrests on Indiana Avenue, and a warrant arrest at the Health Sciences Center. Officers also handled traffic accidents, trespassing incidents, and a false emergency report at the University Library.

Sunday, Nov. 9th

2:40 a.m. Campus Security Authority reported a liquor law violation that occurred in Hulen Residence Hall.

6:02 a.m. A CSA reported a liquor law violation that occurred in Hulen Residence Hall.

11:45 a.m. A Tech officer arrested a student for cruelty to a non-livestock animal in the C-4 parking lot. The student was transported to the county jail.

12:16 p.m. A Tech officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries in the R4 parking lot.

6:45 p.m. A Tech officer completed an emergency detention on a non-student in the 700 block of Flint Avenue. The individual was transported to Sunrise Canyon.

Monday, Nov. 10th

6:04 a.m. A Tech officer investigated a traffic accident, without injuries at 1600 Texas Tech Parkway.

Tuesday, Nov. 11th

8:53 a.m. A Tech officer investigated a theft at the north bicycle rack at Talkington Residence Hall. A secured bicycle was stolen.

1:50 p.m. A Tech officer investigated theft (by fraud) at an off campus location.

1:57 p.m. A Tech officer investigated theft at the northwest bicycle racks at Coleman Residence Hall. A secured bicycle was stolen.

1:58 p.m. A Tech officer investigated duty on striking an unattended vehicle in the C-16 parking lot.

2:01 p.m. A Tech officer investigated theft at the west bicycle racks at Murray Residence Hall. A secured electric scooter was stolen.

5:14 p.m. A Tech officer investigated theft at the east bicycle racks at Coleman Residence Hall. A secured bicycle was stolen.

7:40 p.m. A Tech officer arrested a non-student for an outstanding county sheriff’s office capias warrant in the Health Sciences Center A-1 parking lot.

Wednesday, Nov. 12th

1:51 a.m. A Tech officer arrested a student for possession of THC oil and possession of marijuana in the 1800 block of Indiana Avenue. The student was also issued a county citation for possession of a fictitious license, possession of an e-Cigarette by a minor and possession of drug paraphernalia, A second student was arrested for possession of THC oil. The student was also issued a county citation for possession of a fictitious license, and possession of an e-Cigarette by a minor. Both students were transported to the county jail and the vehicle was impounded.

5:02 a.m. A Tech officer issued a non-student a criminal trespass warning for all Tech property in the 2900 block of 18th Street.

11:23 a.m. A Tech officer investigated a false report to induce an emergency response at the Tech Library.

5:22 p.m. A Tech officer released a non-student, pending the filing of charges, for criminal trespass and theft at the Student Union Building bookstore.

5:55 p.m. A Tech officer investigated a traffic accident involving a university vehicle, without injuries at the Student Union Building south loading dock.

Thursday, Nov. 13th

12:37 a.m. A CSA reported a liquor law violation that occurred in Murdough Residence Hall.

3:40 p.m. A Tech officer investigated duty on striking an unattended vehicle in the C-11 parking lot.
