The Black-owned vendor market will also feature live performances, activities and pictures with Santa Slate.

A new holiday tradition centered on creativity, community, and celebration is coming to Plano. Puzzles of Color – the Plano-based, Black-owned puzzle company known for its vibrant artwork and diverse representation — is hosting its inaugural Black Joy Market on Nov. 22 at My Possibilities.

The free, family-friendly event aims to spotlight Black entrepreneurs and artists while spreading holiday cheer across North Texas.

Held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at My Possibilities (3601 Mapleshade Ln.), the Black Joy Market will feature more than 30 Black-owned vendors, including Puzzles of Color. Guests can shop unique handmade goods, enjoy live performances, participate in hands-on activities and take home giveaways throughout the day.

Adding to the festive spirit, children and families can meet and snap photos with Santa Slate, a beloved community Santa who brings representation and warmth to holiday events across DFW.

For Puzzles of Color cofounders Eureeka and William Latham, bringing the Black Joy Market to Plano is a milestone. The siblings launched their company in 2020 with a mission to create puzzles that authentically showcase artists of color – and have since grown into a nationally recognized brand featured by Oprah Daily, Target and ESSENCE.

Hosting a community-centered holiday marketplace is an extension of that mission.

Attendees are encouraged to give back by supporting My Possibilities, a Plano-based nonprofit serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The organization provides continuing education, job training, life skills development, and community engagement for Hugely Important People (HIPsters) across Collin County.

By hosting the event on-site, Puzzles of Color hopes to bring more visibility to My Possibilities and deepen community support for their mission.

Founded by siblings Eureeka and William Latham, Puzzles of Color offers art-forward, tech-free entertainment featuring work from artists from underrepresented communities. The brand partners with creators from around the country to produce puzzles that “reflect the full spectrum of Black and Brown joy, culture and imagination.”

Admission into the event is free, though an RSVP is required.
