According to police, units were dispatched to the 9300 block of Forest Lane at approximately 3:25 p.m. When they arrived, they found two individuals had been shot. A third individual, identified by police as the suspect, died from self-inflicted gunshot wounds, police say.
DFR officials say six rescue units were dispatched to the location of the shooting, and that two adult females were transported to a local hospital for evaluation. Both victims are in stable condition, according to a DPD statement.
DPD officers taped off large parts of the parking lot following the incident. The area was enlarged in the early evening as crowds began to gather around the scene. At the center of the taped off area, what witnesses described as a black Jaguar sedan sat covered in police tarp.

Former District 10 City Council candidate Sirrano Keith Baldeo told media he was on the scene at the time of the shooting. Baldeo stayed on the scene several hours after the incident speaking with reporters.
“This area has gotten really bad,” Baldeo said at the scene. “That’s why I run for City Council in this area, to change it. There really is no master plan here.”
