H-E-B is closing in on opening yet another store in North Texas.
The grocer plans to welcome visitors to a new site in Rockwall on Oct. 29, according to the company. The store will be located at 1600 E. Interstate 30, near the intersection with South John King Road.
The San Antonio-based grocer is investing in the Dallas-Fort Worth area with new sites, as it competes with rivals such as Walmart, Kroger and Tom Thumb. Already, it has been ramping up in North Texas since it opened a store in Frisco roughly three years ago.
It subsequently sprinkled other stores in the region while also buying land and starting construction at sites. In August, the company opened a store in Prosper after adding a Melissa locale in May. The grocer has invested in warehousing space as well for the region.
