AUSTIN, Texas — A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Robert Wentworth, whose body was discovered in a cardboard box behind a bus stop. The arrest follows an investigation by Austin Police Department (APD) officers.

On November 13, 2025, at approximately 5:22 p.m., APD officers responded to a call at 4107 Victory Drive, where they found 63-year-old Robert Wentworth, of Austin, Texas, deceased with trauma. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:53 p.m., according to a press release from the department. Homicide detectives and crime scene specialists processed the scene and interviewed witnesses.

The investigation revealed that Wentworth had been living with Aidan Hunt, a 24-year-old man residing nearby. A search warrant executed at Hunt’s residence uncovered evidence related to the murder, leading to an arrest warrant for Hunt on charges of first-degree murder in Wentworth’s death.

On November 16, 2025, members of the Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested Hunt in the 3900 block of Lamar Boulevard without incident. This case marks Austin’s 49th homicide of 2025.
