LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – A woman is dead after a crash involving a semi-truck in Lamb County on Wednesday afternoon, according to DPS.
DPS said officers responded to a crash just before 2 p.m. on Wednesday on US Hwy 84 near Amherst in Lamb County. DPS said a Chevy pickup was driving west, passing a semi-truck pulling a trailer.
While attempting to pass, Lori Moyer, the driver of the pickup, steered right toward the semi, hitting it on its left side. The driver of the semi then began to brake and the pickup continued driving until Moyer overcorrected and rolled into northbound traffic.
She was pronounced dead on the scene. Moyer’s two passengers were taken to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the semi was not hurt in the crash.
