The first round of showers and storms is behind us.
DFW International Airport got almost 4 inches of rain Thursday, more than doubling the daily rain record of 1.34 inches that had been set in 2009. The precipitation totals were highest in Tarrant and Collin counties, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office, with over four inches reported at multiple locations near Plano.
Friday is expected to start overcast, with the clouds gradually clearing and making way for sunny conditions by the afternoon.
The temperature is expected to peak at 75 degrees, still 10 degrees above normal for the third week of November. But it should be crisper than earlier in the week, when the metro area was breaking temperature records with highs in the upper 80s.
