Cafe J in Lubbock Closing
Cafe J in Lubbock has been in business since 1989 and they are closing on December 14th to make way for an apartment building that will house college students. The neighborhood around the soon to be apartment complex fought the zoning change, but the Lubbock City Council eventually approved the housing structure across from Texas Tech University.
Cafe J has been a favorite of locals and visitors for years. Located across from Texas Tech University, parents of Texas Tech students would often visit and of course locals were known to enjoy Cafe J and it’s backroom bar as well.
