Authorities were responding Friday morning to reports of an “unknown substance” at a Dallas Immigration and Customs Enforcement office building.

Crews were dispatched shortly before 7 a.m. to the facility tucked off the highway in the Stemmons Corridor. A Dallas Fire-Rescue call log showed more than a dozen units responding; several listed under hazmat and others under “package.”

Jason Evans, a fire department spokesman, said investigators were looking into an “unknown substance.”

The investigation is ongoing, Evans said, and no additional information was immediately available.
