Texas women’s basketball is reportedly set to receive a name, image, and likeness payday to the tune of $1 million for the team’s participation in the Players Era Festival. The undefeated team opens the collegiate tournament versus UCLA next week, on Wednesday at 1pm Central.
“I’d play the Boston Celtics best-out-of-seven if it means our kids get a million bucks,” Texas women’s basketball coach Vic Schaefer said earlier this week, according to 247Sports.
