SAN ANTONIO — Chase Ames threw for 305 yards and four touchdowns and Jaceton Gotta ran for 129 yards and a TD Friday as Dripping Springs routed San Antonio Harlan 52-28 in a Class 6A Division II area round playoff game at Alamo Stadium.Â
In a game not as close as the final score appears, the Tigers led 49-7 at halftime after completely dominating the first two quarters. They only gave up three first downs and kept the Hawks to less than 30 yards on the ground in the first half.Â

Cooper Reid caught five passes for 106 yards and a TD, James Montgomery tallied seven catches for 100 yards and both Merrik Bloomgren and Lawson Attaway hauled in scoring receptions for Dripping Springs. Lawson Attaway added a touchdown catch and Pete Fredenburg had a 6-yard TD run for the Tigers.
Colten Tripp made two interceptions, returning one 23 yards for a TD, to lead the Dripping Springs defense.Â
Harlan (10-2) was led by G’Ivori Graham’s 130 yards and three touchdowns rushing, nearly all of which came in the second half.Â
The Tigers (11-1)Â will play Medina Valley in the regional semifinals at a time and place to be determined.Â
