A peak autumnal Saturday is in store.

Sunny skies are returning at the start of the weekend after a rainy mid-week, with pleasant temperatures in the mid-60s and fall color expected to be reaching its peak on the trees. Temperatures should still be a little warmer than normal Saturday night, with a low of 50, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

But unfortunately, it isn’t expected to last, with the chance of showers and storms climbing again starting at noon Sunday. The precipitation chances are strongest Sunday night, which is forecast to linger into much of Monday.

One to three inches of precipitation is expected with the next round of storms and some flash flooding is possible, particularly in areas that have already seen heavy rainfall earlier in the week.
