It’s almost kickoff! The rival Arkansas Razorbacks visit Austin to take on a wounded Texas Longhorns team. The Horns are coming off a devastating loss to Georgia that likely knocked them out of the college football playoff.
Texas will be without one of their best players. Minutes ago, Texas downgraded star linebacker Anthony Hill Jr. from ‘doubtful’ to ‘out.’ Hill is battling a broken bone in his hand, which he suffered in the 35-10 loss in Athens. Hill has been limited in practice and the coaching staff decided he wasn’t ready enough to play this week.
While Texas is most-likely out of the CFP, Texas must win today if they are to take advantage of chaos elsewhere. The Longhorns will need a lot of help to get into the tournament, but it won’t matter if they lose today.
The Hogs are 2-8 and are on their second coach of the season. Offensive coordinator, and former Arkansas head coach, Bobby Petrino replaced Sam Pittman in late September.
