Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens has drawn the biggest fine in the NFL this week after his apparently overzealous touchdown celebration in Monday’s win against the Raiders.

After Pickens’ score during his 9-catch, 144-yard performance vs. the Raiders he leapt up and grabbed onto the stantion of the goal post, which the NFL deemed to be “use of [a] prop” in a celebration, according to the league’s gameday accountability page.

Pickens will be fined $26,085 for the act, the largest sum of any of the 23 players fined in Week 11’s slate of games.

Pickens’ sprawled-out celebration was seemingly inspired by the Lions’ Jameson Williams, who did nearly the exact same celebration in the Sunday Night Football game the night before Cowboys-Raiders.

Williams was only fined $14,491, the difference likely due to Pickens’ status as a repeat offender. Pickens was fined earlier in November as well for taunting Cardinals cornerback Denzel Burke in Dallas’ game against Arizona.

Pickens was also flagged for the celebration, punished on the field and off. And that’s after he was benched for the first series of the game after missing the team bus to the stadium.

Regardless, these Pickens-related shenanigans seem to have affected neither his on-field performance nor his relationship with his coach and teammates. He’s second in the NFL in receiving yards, and he’s got Brian Schottenheimer publicly campaigning for a long-term agreement between Pickens and the Cowboys.

“Sign me up,” Schottenheimer said Tuesday when asked about the pending free agent Pickens’ future in Dallas. “I’m very in favor of George having a long-term future with us.”
