FORT WORTH – Manuel P. Ramos passed away at home on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at the age of 78 with his wife by his side. Rosary: 6:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107 with a visitation to follow until 8:00 p.m. Funeral: 12:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2025, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76107. Interment to follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. Manuel was born on June 26, 1947, to Antonio and Petra Pina Ramos in Del Rio, Texas. He graduated from Del Rio High School in 1966. Manuel took a new job and moved to Fort Worth in 1968. He met and married Maria Vasquez on July 19, 1969. Manuel was a proud father to three children: Manuel Jr., Linda, and Anna. He was also a doting grandfather to four grandchildren and delighted in welcoming his first great-grandchild, who brought him immense joy in his later years. Manuel went to Topeka, Kansas to attend locomotive engineering school in 1978. He enjoyed his career as a locomotive engineer and was good at his profession. He worked for several railroad companies, including Santa Fe Railroad and Kiamichi Railroad, he retired from the industry after 34 years. He was a very active person and enjoyed playing softball on various leagues in Texas and Arkansas. Golf was another sport he enjoyed with friends. Manuel was a fun and charismatic person and had many friends and relatives that enjoyed his company. Spending time with these friends and relatives at the lake and barbequing was another pass time he enjoyed very much. Manuel loved coaching baseball/softball and football and coached his children for many years. Manuel was a beloved coach in Fort Worth as well as Ashdown, AR and he often assumed a role of father figure to kids who did not have one, and he gladly accepted that role. Manuel was someone everyone wanted as a dad, coach, or friend he will be missed more than words can express and his legacy will live on in the people he cared for. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio Ramos and Petra Pina Ramos. Manuel is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Maria V. Ramos; son, Manuel Ramos Jr. and wife, Lisa Woo; daughter, Linda Aguillon; daughter, Anna Vieira and husband, Joseph; grandchildren, Anthony Aguillon, Alyssa Aguillon, Matteo Ramos, and Keilani Ramos; great-granddaughter, Olivia Aguillon; and one brother and two sisters.
